The European Commission is launching a new edition of the Youth4Regions<\/strong> program. This opportunity is targeting young journalists and journalism students interested in discovering the actions of the European Union. The program will take place from October 11 to 17 in Brussels, Belgium.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participation is free, and the European Commission will cover all accommodation, food, and travel expenses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Youth4Regions is a program designed to give young people access to essential information about the EU\u2019s cohesion policy and offer them the chance to work alongside journalists specializing in European affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What The Program Offers:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Training sessions on journalism and EU cohesion policy;<\/span>
\n\u2022 The chance to receive mentorship from experienced journalists;<\/span>
\n\u2022 Visits to EU affairs media outlets and EU institutions;<\/span>
\n\u2022 The opportunity to join official press trips organized by the European Commission in EU member states.<\/span><\/p>\n

The highlight of the program will be participation in the EU Regions Week events, where participants will engage with renowned journalists.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022The program is open to young people aged 18 to 30;<\/span>
\n\u2022 Applicants must be citizens of the EU or of one of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Republic of Moldova,<\/strong>\u00a0Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, Kosovo, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom;<\/span>
\n\u2022 Candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in journalism through studies and\/or professional activity;<\/span>
\n\u2022 Eligible applicants include students studying journalism or those who have worked in the field for at least two years;<\/span>
\n\u2022 Those who graduated in journalism within the last two years may also apply;<\/span>
\n\u2022 Former participants of the program are not eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Application Process:<\/strong><\/span>
\nTo apply, candidates must submit one of the following types of journalistic content:<\/span>
\n\u2022 A written article of 2,500 to 6,250 characters;<\/span>
\n\u2022 A photo report containing three images;<\/span>
\n\u2022 A video report approximately three minutes long.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each submission must cover the topic of a project co-funded by the European Union (excluding Erasmus+ academic mobility programs). Entries will be evaluated based on quality, coherence, relevance, and thematic approach.<\/span><\/p>\n
