The event will take place from March 15 to March 22 and is aimed at young people aged between <strong>14 and 35<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whatever their level of experience, all chess enthusiasts are invited to participate, test their strategic skills and compete in a competitive and friendly atmosphere.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Structure and organization of the championship<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The competition will include <strong>32 participants<\/strong>, who will be divided into <strong>two groups<\/strong> of <strong>16 players<\/strong> in order of registration. The matches will take place at <strong>the Ciocana Youth Center, 3\/2 Petru Zadnipru St.<\/strong>, according to the following schedule:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Group A<\/strong>: March 15, 2025, 11:40 a.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Group B<\/strong>: March 15, 2025, at 14:40<\/li>\n<li><strong>Final group<\/strong>: March 22, 2025, 11:40 am<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each participant will be notified in advance of the date and time of the matches via a <strong>group created on Telegram<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Game system:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Group A and Group B<\/strong>: Swiss system, <strong>7 rounds<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Finals<\/strong>: <strong>Round Robin<\/strong> system (each against each)<\/li>\n<li><strong>The top 4 players from each group qualify for the finals<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After the end of the competition, <strong>the awards ceremony<\/strong> will take place.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Prizes for the winners<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1st place<\/strong>: 2000 lei<\/li>\n<li><strong>2nd place:<\/strong> 1500 lei<\/li>\n<li><strong>3rd place:<\/strong> 1000 lei<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Championship rules<\/h3>\n<p>The championship will follow the current <strong>FIDE regulations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pace of play:<\/strong> 3 minutes + 5 seconds increment per player<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chess clocks<\/strong> will be provided by <strong>the Chess Federation of the Republic of Moldova<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the event of a dispute, one of the participants may stop the clock and request the intervention of the arbiter, <strong>whose decision is final.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tie-breaking criteria<\/strong> in case of equal points:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Buchholz <\/strong>score<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sonneborn-Berger<\/strong> score<\/li>\n<li>Number of <strong>wins<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p>To participate, fill in the entry form available here:<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/PuZoZzAGBMpgkDXP6\"> Entry form<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If a participant cannot be present at the matches, he\/she must <strong>notify the organizers<\/strong> in advance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ciocana Youth Center announces the launch of the registration for the Youth Chess Championship, 2nd edition, held within the &#8220;Youth Sport&#8221; Program.
