For four weekends, more than 100 young women from the Republic of Moldova, aged between 14 and 20, had the opportunity to learn, create and discover new perspectives in IT.<\/p>\n<p>The Bootcamp took place in six locations: Criuleni, Ialoveni, Straseni, Drochia, Dubasari and Chisinau. During interactive workshops, participants explored topics such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HTML&amp;CSS<\/strong> &#8211; creating web pages;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Arduino<\/strong> &#8211; programming smart devices;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Python<\/strong> &#8211; programming language used in various applications;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Information security<\/strong> &#8211; data protection and online safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Out of more than 300 applications received, 100 young women were selected to participate in the program free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style participants;<\/li>\n<li><strong>80% of the young women<\/strong> developed their technical skills;<\/li>\n<li><strong>92% gained confidence<\/strong> in their skills;<\/li>\n<li><strong>80% want to pursue a career<\/strong> in IT.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><strong>Victoria Harcencov<\/strong> from Straseni said: &#8220;The bootcamp experience was unforgettable. I learned essential concepts about information security, applicable in everyday life and online. The mentors were exceptional and the atmosphere was warm and friendly.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><strong>Ioana Bolea<\/strong> from Drochia added: &#8220;Autumn Bootcamp GirlsGoIT was one of the best experiences of my life! I learned coding, logical thinking and teamwork. The community created with the other girls is a precious gift that will last a lifetime.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>GirlsGoIT, launched by <strong>TEKEDU<\/strong> in 2015, aims to empower young women in Moldova to explore careers in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) fields.
