On July 11-14, 2024, the Summer School “Chisinau for the European Youth Capital 2027” took place. The event brought together 100 young men and women from various youth organizations, student councils and student associations, with the main purpose of preparing and strengthening the youth community for Chisinau’s candidacy for the title of European Youth Capital 2027.<\/p>\n
Organized by the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre, and Chisinau City Hall, the event started with a flashmob dedicated to the promotion of Chisinau’s candidacy, followed by presentation sessions and discussions about the importance and impact of this title. Participants had the opportunity to take part in various team building activities, best practice exchange sessions and team building activities.<\/p>\n
A highlight of the summer school was the presentation of the application pack and the active involvement of young people in focus groups to formulate innovative proposals and ideas. There were also financial literacy sessions and presentations of support programs for NGOs and student associations aimed at supporting young people’s initiatives and strengthening the local community.<\/p>\n
