On March 28, at ArtStage, young people from Chisinau are invited to a special event on the impact of technology on relationships and safety in the digital environment. The topic will be debated by Elena Botezatu, lawyer and executive director of the International Center “La Strada”, who will provide valuable insights into the challenges and risks encountered in online communication.

The event, organized by ArtStage Event, will address key topics such as the illusion of digital connection, the normalization of sexting, toxic online behaviours and the protection of personal data. GovTech Hackathon 2025: Innovation and technology for more efficient public services  

Moldova is preparing for a new stage of digitalization through technology. Learn robotics and 3D modeling for free in the 5 Youth Centers in Chisinau! Sessions will take place in April and May.  

Young people interested in technology, programming and innovation can now sign up for the Robotics & 3D Club, an educational program that will take place in several youth centers in Chisinau. During the sessions, participants will learn essential concepts about robotics, 3D modeling and Arduino programming.

The program is free and aimed at young people aged between 14 and 35. The activities will be organized by specialized trainers who will guide participants in exploring technologies used in areas such as automation, engineering and digital design.

What will participants learn?

The workshops will be structured in four modules, each with a different focus:

  • Programming motor-driven robots – introduction to motorized mechanisms and their programmatic control.
  • Programming hand-type robots – developing functionality for the movements of a robotic arm.
  • Using the 3D pen – creating three-dimensional objects using the 3D drawing technique.
  • Introduction to Arduino – programming development boards used in automation and robotics projects.

Young people passionate about gastronomy or those who want to learn the basics of the culinary art are invited to participate in the new edition of the Cooking Club organized by the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center. Under the guidance of Coralia Babcenco, national and international trainer in gastronomy, participants will have the opportunity to discover various recipes and learn essential techniques of cooking.

The Cooking Club offers a diverse program, including:

Media Hub Chisinau is looking for the most innovative program! Apply and turn your idea into reality  

The Chisinau Municipal Youth Center invites young people passionate about journalism, video production and content creation to participate in the selection for a new media project to be implemented during 2025 at Media Hub Chisinau. The winner will benefit from the filming and editing of eight editions of the proposed project, thus having the opportunity to bring their vision to the public.

How does the selection process work?

Step 1: Concept submission

  • Applicants must complete the application form and outline their project idea.
  • Application period: March 18 – March 27, 2025.

Stage 2: Detailed presentation

 

  • Selected projects will be presented in front of a jury.
  • The concept must include:
    •       Project name and purpose
    •       General description and details of an edition
    •       Team composition (including moderator and possible guests)
    •       Possible partners and promotion strategy
    •       Resources needed for production

Stage 3: Public vote and final selection

  • Finalist projects will be entered into an online competition, “Most Innovative Media Project”.
  • Voting period: April 4 – April 8, 2025.
  • The winner will be announced on April 10, 2025, following a judging system based on:
    •       60% vote of the jury
    •       40% public vote

Selection criteria:

  • Creativity and originality
  • Relevance and community impact
  • Feasibility and sustainability
  • Quality of content and coherence of the message

What formats are eligible?

Proposed projects must be different from existing Media Hub Chisinau productions such as “Career Challenge”, #Altfel or “Psychologist Answers”. Various formats are acceptable, including:

Robotics & 3D Club at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center expands its activities: open registration for a new group  

Young technology enthusiasts had the opportunity to discover new innovative fields during a recent session of the Robotics & 3D Club, organized at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre. They explored the basics of Arduino programming and experimented with virtual reality (VR), two technologies increasingly used in industry and education.

The session included hands-on activities where participants learned to control electronic circuits and use VR goggles for an interactive experience. The event is part of a series of meetings aimed at familiarizing young people with robotics, 3D modelling and new technologies.

Starting in April, the Robotics & 3D Club is opening enrollment for a new group, offering sessions dedicated to those who want to learn robot programming, 3D pen usage and deepening their knowledge of Arduino. The program of upcoming sessions includes:

  • Motor Robot Programming – April 8
  • Programming hand-type robots – April 29
  • Using the 3D pen – May 13
  • Introduction to Arduino – May 27

Classes will be held each session from 16:30 at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center, 90 Mitropolit Varlaam Street. Participation is free of charge and is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 35.

The Cooking Club of the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center launches a new group for young people passionate about culinary art  

Young gastronomy enthusiasts had the opportunity to participate in a new session of the Cooking Club, organized at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre. Under the guidance of Coralia Babcenco, a national and international trainer in the culinary art, the participants learned how to prepare saints, a traditional dessert prepared on the eve of the “40 Saints” holiday.

The event brought together young people aged between 14 and 35, giving them the opportunity to experiment new recipes and culinary techniques, as well as learn about local gastronomic traditions. According to the organizers, these sessions are about developing a healthy lifestyle, promoting balanced nutrition and discovering the joy of cooking in the community.

For those who want to join, the Cooking Club continues throughout April, offering workshops every Friday from 17:00 at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center, 90 Mitropolit Varlaam Street.
