The Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre and its branches will go out in the districts of Chisinau to inform young people about the opportunities they have at the Youth Centres.

The main purpose of the action was to familiarize young people with the services and programs offered by the Youth Centres, highlighting the non-formal education, volunteering and active recreation opportunities available to them. At the same time, information is provided about upcoming events organised by the Youth Centres, as well as ways to get involved in the community.

Municipal Youth Forum, 2024

THE MUNICIPAL FORUM OF YOUTH OF CHISINAU, 2024, an event dedicated to young people from the municipality, organized by the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre, the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport under the aegis of the Chisinau City Hall.

The forum brought together young people, community leaders and representatives of Local Public Authorities to discuss the challenges and opportunities for young people in Chisinau, with the main aim of empowering and actively involving them in the development of the local community.

During the event, the results of the municipal survey on the identification of the needs and aspirations of young people in Chisinau were presented, as well as the prioritization of objectives and solutions to solve the identified challenges.

Also, the winning youth organizations in the Municipal Grant Program for Youth Organizations, edition 2024, received grant certificates.

The forum included motivational speech sessions, workshops and presentations of success stories of young entrepreneurs. Topics covered included youth involvement in community development, opportunities for starting a business and ways for young people to participate in various local and international projects.

The three main topics discussed at the Forum were:

  • Opportunities for starting a business in Chisinau, employment
  • Forms of participation of young people
  • Involvement of young people in the programme Chisinau – European Youth Capital 2027

The event culminated with a concert by Satoshi in the Digital Park Garden, offering participants a moment of relaxation and socialization.

The Chisinau Municipal Youth Forum is an important moment in strengthening a constructive dialogue between young people and authorities. The ideas proposed by young people during the forum will be shaped in the plans of activities of the municipality in 2025.

At the Riscani Youth Centre young people discussed about clothing etiquette

A new session at the Riscani Youth Centre, with the topic “Clothing Etiquette”, part of the Social Etiquette Course within the Youth Personal Development Programme.

Under the guidance of our expert, Zinaida Soroceanu, young people learned how to choose the right outfits for different occasions and how to build an impeccable personal image.

During this session, participants discovered the secrets of a well-thought-out wardrobe and the importance of first impressions, received valuable advice on adapting clothing style to the context, choosing the right accessories and combining colours and textures to create harmonious and elegant outfits.

The Mobile Team of the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre in action!

The mobile team of the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre went out in the heart of the city to inform and interact with young people in the Arc de Triumf area”!

The Mobile Team, composed of young volunteers and youth workers, had an active and dynamic presence in this central area of the city, providing information about Youth Centres in Chisinau. Through this initiative, the aim was to strengthen the link between young people and the resources available for their personal and professional development.

The main purpose of the action was to familiarize young people with the services and programs offered by the Youth Centres, highlighting the opportunities for non-formal education, volunteering and active recreation available to them. At the same time, information was provided about upcoming events organised by the Youth Centres, as well as ways to get involved in the community.

Through such initiatives, the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre reaffirms its commitment to young people in the community and continues to promote their active participation in the social and cultural life of the city.

The next outing of the mobile team will be on Wednesday 29 May in the Valea Morilor Park, starting at 16:00!

Mobile Team in the Ciocana sector

Today, 25 May, the Mobile Team went out to the Gaudeamus Theoretical High School located at Petru Zadnipru 14/4 street, to inform young people aged 14 to 35 about the services and programs available at the Youth Centres in Chisinau municipality.

Mobile Team volunteers presented about how young people can spend their free time at the Centre, clubs of interest, personal development opportunities and how they can become volunteers.

During the discussion, the beneficiaries were encouraged to participate in the social activities organized by the Youth Centres, stressing the importance of getting involved in a friendly and fun environment.

Expressive reading session at the Buiucani Youth Center!

On Friday, May 24, another session of the Personal Development Program took place, featuring
Mihaela Strâmbeanu, practicing expressive reading.

Participants refined their expressive reading skills. The challenge of this session was
interpreting Mihail Sebastian’s play “The Star Without a Name,” in roles, aimed at developing
their communication and artistic interpretation skills.

During the activity, the young people practiced knowledge from previous sessions about accents
and pronunciation, conveying emotion through words, adapting voice tones, and capturing the
audience’s attention with their interpretation.

Through this experience, they experimented with different roles and learned tricks for choosing
the right emotions according to the context.

Training about psychosomatic phenomena at Buiucani Youth Centre

On Thursday, 23 May 2024, young people attended a training on psychosomatics and how stress affects the lives of young people at the Buiucani Youth Centre.

We know that negative emotions and stress can lead to various physical ailments (e.g. headaches, digestive problems) manifesting in certain parts of the body. And during the training, young people learned how to identify emotions in the body and breathing techniques to help reduce them.

Participants also tried one of the most popular mindfulness practices – meditation. This practice can help young people reduce their stress and anxiety levels, improve their concentration and develop a more positive attitude towards life.

Through simple meditation, young people have seen how brain function can be improved, increasing concentration and mental flexibility.

Participation is absolutely free for young people aged 14-35.

Mobile Team of Riscani Youth Centre in action!

The mobile team informed young people from Riscani sector about the opportunities, projects and programmes they can benefit from at the youth centres.

Today, we were in the area adjacent to the “Pan Com” Shopping Centre and were delighted to see the interest and curiosity of young people for the initiatives of the youth centres in Chisinau.

We informed about:

  • Youth Personal Development Programme
  • Creative and educational activities
  • Sports and volunteering activities
  • Community involvement projects

No taboo discussions at Riscani Youth Centre!

At the Riscani Youth Centre, within the framework of the “Discussions without taboos” project, an interactive session full of deep reflections took place, where the main topic was future plans, goal setting and objectives.

The discussions were lively and honest, giving participants tools and strategies to build their future plans with confidence and determination. Together, we explored the importance of setting realistic goals, managing stress and adapting to inevitable changes in life.

Joining us was psychologist Viorica Vartanian, who brought a valuable perspective and created an open and safe environment for all participants. Young people had the opportunity to express their thoughts, clarify their goals and discover the steps needed to achieve their dreams.

Botanica Youth Centre mobile team in action!

The Botanica Youth Centre’s mobile team went out to inform and interact with young people in the area of C.C. Golden Autumn!

The Mobile Team, composed of young volunteers and youth workers, had an active and dynamic presence in this central area of the city, providing information about Youth Centres in Chisinau. Through this initiative, the aim was to strengthen the link between young people and the resources available for their personal and professional development.

The main purpose of the action was to familiarize young people with the services and programs offered by the Youth Centres, highlighting the opportunities for non-formal education, volunteering and active recreation available to them. At the same time, information was provided about upcoming events organised by the Youth Centres, as well as ways to get involved in the community.

Through such initiatives, the Botanica Youth Centre reaffirms its commitment to young people in the community and continues to promote their active participation in the social and cultural life of the city.

The next outing of the mobile team, will be on Saturday, May 25 at McDonald’s, starting at 16:00!
