The personal development program for youth continues at the Rîșcani youth center!

The Rîșcani Youth Center continues to support the personal development of young people through various educational and training activities. Today, as part of the program, young people participated in a special session on “Etiquette and Protocol,” which is part of the Social Etiquette Course.

The session was led by Zinaida Soroceanu, an experienced trainer in the field of etiquette and protocol. Under her guidance, the participating youths had the opportunity to learn essential rules of etiquette and protocol necessary for successfully navigating various social and professional contexts.

Throughout the meeting, the trainer covered important topics such as appropriate behavior at formal events, the art of personal presentation, and handling delicate situations with elegance and professionalism. Participants benefited from practical examples and useful tips that will help them act with confidence and competence in any social situation.

The personal development program at the Rîșcani Youth Center is dedicated to the growth and training of young people, providing them with the necessary tools to become successful leaders and active members of society.

Every Friday, young people aged 14-17 meet at the Youth Centers in Chișinău to spend their free time in an engaging way as part of the #WeekendAtTheCenter program!

An essential aspect of the #WeekendAtTheCenter program is the emphasis on non-formal education and the development of socio-emotional skills. Young people have the opportunity to discover their talents and explore their passions in a friendly and stimulating environment.

Participating in these activities helps young people expand their social networks and create strong connections with other young people with similar interests.

Presentation of the municipal survey results on identifying the needs of youth in Chisinau

The Chișinău Municipal Youth Center, the General Directorate of Education, Youth, and Sports, under the aegis of the Chișinău Municipality, presented the RESULTS of the municipal survey on identifying the needs of youth in Chișinău during the Chișinău Municipal Youth Forum 2024.

The survey, conducted from April to May 2024, aimed to evaluate the priorities and challenges faced by young people aged 14 to 35.

Survey Methodology

The research utilized a sociological questionnaire-based method and included a probabilistic stratified quota sample of 1,690 young people from Chișinău and its suburbs. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews, and the analysis and processing took place in May 2024.

Key Survey Results

1.Youth Engagement and Participation:

    • 41% of young people often participate in elections, while 62% rarely engage in civic actions such as protests or demonstrations.
    • Approximately 34% of respondents consider the relationship between youth and the city hall to be good or very good.

2. Access to Services and Youth Satisfaction:

    • On average, young people accessed four services aimed at them, including training and seminars (60%), information campaigns (56%), and volunteer activities (50%).
    • 56% of young people reported being satisfied or very satisfied with the services received from institutions.

3. Youth Challenges and Needs:

    • The main identified needs are career guidance and counseling (13%), leadership and management courses (9.28%), and leisure activities (9.15%).
    • 85% of young people consider labor market integration a major challenge, and 59% value youth-friendly health centers as very important.

4. Levels of Discrimination and Inclusion:

    • Approximately 10% of young people reported experiencing discrimination in various contexts, highlighting the need for more inclusive policies.

5. Access to Information:

    • Instagram (24%), Facebook (18%), and TikTok (14%) are the main sources of information for young people about available services.
    • Only 24% of young people had heard of the Municipal Youth Center’s mobile app, and of these, 35% had never used it.

The municipal survey provided a clear picture of the needs and challenges faced by young people in Chișinău, emphasizing the importance of services tailored to their needs.

The Chișinău Municipality, the General Directorate of Education, Youth, and Sports, and the Municipal Youth Center reaffirm their commitment to developing and implementing programs that support youth development, while also promoting their active involvement in the decision-making process and community life.

The ideas proposed by young people during the forum will be incorporated into the municipality’s activity plans for 2025.

A.O. MilleniuM Development Training Institute invites you to the “Empathic Generation Development Camp“, a unique experience that will take place this summer.

The camp will take place outdoors, with accommodation in tents and outdoor activities outside Chisinau.

Chisinau, launched by the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport and the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre under the aegis of the Chisinau City Hall.

The Open Air Film Festival returns again this year!

Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre is pleased to announce the launch of the second edition of the Open Air Film Festival! The event will start on June 1st and will take place during the whole summer, every weekend, in three sectors of Chisinau municipality.

Films will be screened outdoors every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as follows:

  • Friday: Ciocana sector, location: Ciocana Amphitheatre
  • Saturday: Buiucani Sector, location: Park – Butoiaș Forest (entrance from O. Ghibu Street)
  • Sunday: Botanica Sector, location: Sarmizegetusa Park

The screenings will start at 20:30, offering young people and families the opportunity to enjoy summer evenings in a relaxing atmosphere full of cinematic magic. The film will be chosen together with the audience.

The Open Air Film Festival is an initiative aimed at promoting film culture and giving young people in Chisinau the opportunity to spend their free time in an enjoyable and educational way.

Buiucani Youth Centre Mobile Team in action!

On Tuesday, May 28, the mobile team of the Buiucani Youth Centre went out to the DaviDan area, Calea Ieșilor 1A,

Volunteers informed young people between 14 and 35 about free opportunities and services for young people. The main goal was to inform about the new opportunities, activities and clubs of Buiucani Youth Centre.

The mission of the mobile team is to create an open and constructive dialogue with young people, to encourage them to get involved and benefit from the resources and activities offered for their personal and professional development.

On Tuesday 4 June, the mobile team will continue to inform young people about free opportunities and leisure activities in the “Alunelul” park.

Botanica Youth Center mobile team in action in the Kauffland store area!

The Botanica Youth Centre mobile team went out into the heart of the district to inform and interact with young people in the Kauffland store area!

The Mobile Team, composed of young volunteers and youth workers, had an active and dynamic presence in this central area of the city, providing information about Youth Centres in Chisinau. Through this initiative, the aim was to strengthen the link between young people and the resources available for their personal and professional development.

The main purpose of the action was to familiarize young people with the services and programs offered by the Youth Centres, highlighting the opportunities for non-formal education, volunteering and active recreation available to them. At the same time, information was provided about upcoming events organised by the Youth Centres, as well as ways to get involved in the community.

The next outing of the mobile team will be on Friday, 31 May in the area of Shop No. 1 (Dacia Boulevard intersection with Burebista Street), starting at 16:00!

Riscani Youth Centre invites young people to the “Etiquette and Protocol” session!

Riscani Youth Centre is pleased to invite young people to the session “Etiquette and Protocol”, part of the Social Etiquette Course within the Youth Personal Development Programme. The event will take place on Wednesday 29 May, starting at 16:00.

Under the guidance of our trainer, Zinaida Soroceanu, participants will have the opportunity to learn the essential rules of etiquette and protocol, which are indispensable to successfully deal with various social and professional situations. Through this session, young people will discover the secrets of elegant behaviour and effective communication, skills that will increase their self-confidence in any context.

Awarding Ceremony of Grant Certificates to Winning Youth Organisations under the Municipal Grant Programme, edition 2024

Within the framework of the Municipal Youth Forum in Chisinau, the ceremony of handing over the grant certificates to the winning youth organizations of the Municipal Grant Program for Youth Organizations, edition 2024, took place.

This year, the Chisinau City Hall allocated 2.5 million lei to finance youth projects.

From the 24 projects submitted, the evaluation committee selected 14 youth NGOs to implement activities over 7 months, aimed at supporting and developing the youth community in the municipality.

Petru Grecu, director of the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre, congratulated the winning organisations and stressed the importance of involving young people in the life of the community. “Investing in young people is an investment in the future of our city. The projects we support through this programme are aimed at improving the quality of life of young people in Chisinau and providing them with opportunities for personal and professional development,” he said.

The selected projects cover a wide range of areas, from education and sustainable development to innovation and civic engagement. These initiatives will significantly contribute to the development of a favourable environment for young people in Chisinau, stimulating their creativity and active involvement in the community.
