Mobile Team of the Buiucani Youth Centre

On Tuesday, June 3rd, the mobile team of the Buiucani Youth Centre went out to the “Alunelul” park.

Volunteers informed young people between 14 and 35 about free opportunities and services for young people. The main aim was to inform about new opportunities, activities and clubs of the Buiucani Youth Centre.

The mission of the mobile team is to create an open and constructive dialogue with young people, to encourage them to get involved and benefit from the resources and activities offered for their personal and professional development.

On Saturday 08 June, the mobile team will continue to inform young people about free opportunities and leisure activities in the “Dendrariu” park, main entrance.

The first session of the Stand – Up Club with Vlad Sliusarenco took place at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre!

A Stand-Up Club was launched at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre! The Stand Up Club, moderated by the well-known comedian Vlad Sliusarenco, takes place every Tuesday, at 13:00, at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre, 90 Mitropolit Varlaam Street.

At the first session of the club, young people got acquainted and discussed what Stand – Up is and what are the categories of humor!

  • Session: Body language on stage. Dealing with emotions – 18 June, 13:00
  • Session: Improvised comedy – 25 June, 13:00

The Stand Up Club is a perfect opportunity for young people to explore their creative side, develop their public speaking skills and learn from the experience of a professional in the field. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own comedic moments, learn improv techniques and hone their comedy style in a friendly and supportive environment. There will also be various performances so that participants can tell the jokes they have created, to the audience too!

The “Summer at the Centre” programme is launched in Chisinau! Aimed at young people between 14 and 35 years old, this program promises to turn summer days into a period full of exciting activities and opportunities for personal development.

What does the Summer at the Centre Programme involve?

Every day from Tuesday to Saturday, young people will meet at the Youth Centres in Chisinau to participate in a variety of activities. The main aim of this initiative is to provide young people with a friendly and stimulating environment where they can spend their free time in a constructive and enjoyable way.

Educational activities and development of social-emotional skills

A key aspect of the Summer at the Centre Programme is the emphasis on non-formal education. Young people will have the opportunity to discover and develop their talents, explore new hobbies and acquire important life skills. Activities include personal development workshops, training sessions on various topics and interactive games.

Non-formal education plays a crucial role in developing young people’s social-emotional skills. Participating in these activities will enable them to improve their communication skills, develop self-confidence and learn to work effectively in a team.

Building social connections and developing friendship networks

Another major benefit of the Summer at the Centre Programme is the opportunity to expand social networks. Young people will have the opportunity to meet new people with similar interests, create strong bonds and develop lasting friendships.

According to the Municipal Survey conducted by the Chișinău Municipal Youth Center, only
41.1% of young people always participate in elections, while 24.3% never participate. The
remaining youth are split between those who rarely participate (15.3%) and those who often
participate (18%). These data highlight the need for effective electoral education to increase
youth involvement in the decision-making process.

In this regard, the Chișinău Municipal Youth Center launched the program “Electoral Education
Begins with YOUTH,” a project dedicated to young people in Chișinău who want to understand
the importance of voting and familiarize themselves with the electoral process. The program will
be conducted through a series of educational sessions that will guide participants in becoming
informed and engaged citizens, capable of making conscious and responsible choices within a
democracy.

The program includes the following sessions:

  • Debates “European Parliament” – 12.06.2024
  • Local Elections – 19.06.2024
  • Parliamentary Elections – 26.06.2024
  • Referendums – 05.07.2024

The sessions will take place every Wednesday and Friday at 5:00 PM at the Chișinău Municipal
Youth Center, Mitropolit Varlaam Street, No. 90.

The mobile team informed youth in the “Sons of the memory” park!

On Friday, May 31, the mobile team of the Rîșcani Youth Center was present in the “Sons of the
Homeland – Sacred Memory” Park (Afghan Park, Miron Costin Street), starting at 4:00 PM. The
aim was to inform young people about the numerous opportunities, programs, and services
offered by the Youth Centers in the sectors of Chișinău municipality.

Young people who approached the exhibition table had the opportunity to discover the various
resources that the Youth Centers provide for their personal and professional development.

They received detailed information about non-formal education programs, volunteering
opportunities, and community development projects offered by the Youth Centers, as well as
informational materials and useful resources to access the Centers’ services.

What is the Mobile Team?

The Mobile Team consists of enthusiastic young volunteers who collaborate with youth workers to visit parks, neighborhoods, and all sectors of the city, including suburbs. Using scooters and the minibus available at the Youth Center, the team travels to distribute essential information about the activities and opportunities offered by the Youth Centers.

Youth stand-up club launches in Сhișinău! Participation is free!

The Chișinău Municipal Youth Center is pleased to announce the launch of a new interest club dedicated to young people passionate about comedy and entertainment. The Stand-Up Club, moderated by the well-known comedian Vlad Sliusarenco, will start on June 4 and will be held every Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Chișinău Municipal Youth Center, located at 90 Mitropolit Varlaam Street.

Vlad Sliusarenco, known by the stage name “Tata Copchiilor,” is a comedian, scriptwriter, and director. His vast experience in comedy and talent for bringing smiles to people’s faces will make each club session an unforgettable experience for participants.

About Interest Clubs

Interest clubs are educational and social initiatives that offer young people opportunities to engage in extracurricular activities in a non-formal and interactive environment. Friendly padel matches at the Buiucani Youth Center sports club

On Wednesday, May 15, a special session was held at the sports club of the Buiucani Youth Center, during which young people participated in friendly padel matches, between girls and boys.

The session focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle and creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.

The youth:

  • Learned the basic concepts of padel,
  • Practiced the side shot,
  • Participated in individual and pair matches,
  • Developed new sports skills,
  • Spent quality time with peers.

Our goal is to provide the youth of Buiucani with a fun and interactive way to engage in sports, make new friends, learn a new sport, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
