Ciocana Youth Centre invites you to an interactive and educational quiz about the European Union and the European Parliament!

This event is part of the project “Empowering Youth for a Stronger European Democracy”. The aim of this is to strengthen the involvement of young people in the decision-making process by:

  • Advancing understanding of the democratic values of the European Union
  • Exploring the essential role of the European Parliament

There is a special focus on the 2024 European Parliamentary Elections.

We aim to:

  • Promote the active participation of citizens
  • Deepen knowledge of the EU political landscape

The activity will take place on 08.06, 18:30, at the Ciocana Youth Centre, Petru Zadnipru Street 3/2!

Media Hub Chisinau is looking for Content Creators and Cameramen!

Are you passionate about digital storytelling and have multimedia content production skills? Do you have filming skills? If so, we’re looking for you!

The Media Hub is a youth-friendly space, providing opportunities for young people to develop and produce innovative and engaging YOUTH media projects!

We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about media and eager to contribute to the success of our projects:

  • Media Project Cameraman

Responsibilities: the person will be responsible for filming the show and podcast or other media projects

  • Content creator

Responsibilities: the person will create content for Media Hub social media, the person will provide props for the filming of the projects, prepare the script, research the guest, participate in the filming, conduct interviews in the field (VOXs)

This is an exciting opportunity for young people who want to develop their media skills, gain practical experience and contribute to impactful projects for the Chisinau youth community.

Being a volunteer at Media Hub Chisinau:

  • you will have a volunteer card
  • you will benefit from personal and professional development opportunities
  • you will acquire and develop various communication skills, teamwork, etc.

Information session – “European union institutions” At the Rîșcani youth center!

On June 6th, the Rîșcani Youth Center hosted an information session titled “European Union Institutions,” dedicated to young people eager to better understand the structure and functioning of the European Union.

During the session, young participants developed their critical analysis and strategic thinking skills in the context of European affairs. We encouraged active participation of young people in civic and social processes at the European level. Participants learned about platforms where they can follow events, participate in exchanges, and network with peers who share common interests in politics and European structures.

Participants engaged in interactive discussions and practical sessions, gaining knowledge about the roles and functioning of the main EU institutions. The youth were enthusiastic about the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and connect with peers interested in the workings of European institutions.

We thank the participants and partners who contributed to the conduct of this session!

“Cultural evening” At the ciocana youth center: Games, music, and socializing

The Ciocana Youth Center hosted the “Cultural Evening” event, an initiative aimed at providing young people with an opportunity to relax, socialize, and develop personally in a pleasant and friendly environment.

Throughout the evening, the young people spent time at the Ciocana Youth Center’s courtyard, where they had access to a variety of board games designed to encourage cooperation, friendly competition, and creativity. The atmosphere was complemented by ambient music, contributing to a relaxing and welcoming environment.

A special moment of the evening was the storytelling session, where several young people shared personal stories or their own creations. This activity was appreciated by all participants, giving them an opportunity to express themselves freely and enjoy the creativity of others.

The “Cultural Evening” event once again demonstrated the importance and positive impact of cultural and recreational activities on youth development. These initiatives not only promote social cohesion but also inspire young people to discover and develop their talents, thus contributing to the building of a more united and dynamic community.

The Ciocana Youth Center aims to continue organizing such events that meet the needs and interests of the youth in the community, while also promoting the values of friendship, respect, and collaboration.

Mobile Team in Ciocana sector!

On June 5, starting at 16:00 at the Gaudeamus Theoretical High School (14/4 P. Zadnipru Street), the mobile team of the Ciocana Youth Centre was present to inform about the various opportunities in the Youth Centres in Chisinau.

Volunteers interacted with young people from the sector, giving them information materials and explaining the services we provide.

The Mobile Team brought the following issues to the attention of the youth:

  • Socialization and learning within the Centres;
  • Activities to help young people in their personal development;
  • Summer at the Centre programme;
  • The opportunity to become a volunteer;

The mobile team will continue to be present on Saturday on Bd. Mircea cel Bătrân intersection with Igor Vieru street, providing young people with valuable information and encouraging them to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Youth Centres.

We are waiting for you every day from Tuesday to Saturday at the Ciocana Youth Centre, Petru Zadnipru Street 3/2.

Training “EU Benefits for Young People” at Ciocana Youth Centre – A Remarkable Success

The Ciocana Youth Centre, a branch of the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre, announces the remarkable success of the training “EU benefits for young people”, which took place on 5 June at 16:00.

The event brought together young people from various backgrounds, giving them the opportunity to discover the many benefits that the European Union offers to young citizens.

The training was structured to provide clear and relevant information about the programmes and opportunities for professional and personal development available to young people within the European Union. Various European initiatives to support mobility, education and civic engagement were also presented.

Key highlights of the event included:

  • Informative presentations: about Erasmus+ programmes, European Council, European Parliament and more.
  • Question and answer sessions, giving young people the opportunity to interact directly with the experts and clarify any doubts.
  • The democratic values of the European Union: understanding the fundamental principles that underpin the European Union and how they influence the lives of citizens.
  • Benefits of EU membership: the advantages and opportunities that the EU offers young people, including mobility, education and professional development programmes.

The Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre invites you to an exciting debate on the theme “Freedom of expression means you can say what you want”.

This event is part of the project “Empowering Youth for a Stronger European Democracy”, which aims to deepen young people’s knowledge of the political landscape of the European Union.

The event will take place on 7 June from 16:00.

This activity is dedicated to young people who are interested in fundamental rights and the limits of freedom of expression in a democratic society.

The objectives of the debates are:

1. To develop the argumentation and debating skills of the young participants.

2. Facilitate the exchange of ideas and perspectives between participants from different backgrounds.

3. Raise awareness of the importance of balancing freedom of expression with respect for the rights of others.

The Riscani Youth Centre, a branch of the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre, would like to inform you about the organization of the training “Institutions of the European Union” dedicated to young people interested in the functioning of the European Union. This event is part of the project “Empowering Youth for a Stronger European Democracy”, which aims to deepen the knowledge of young people about the political landscape of the European Union.

The event will take place on 6 June, starting at 15:00 at the Riscani Youth Centre, Miron Costin 7B.

This training is addressed to all those who want to better understand the structure and role of the European institutions.

The objectives of the event are:

  • To develop critical analysis and strategic thinking skills in the context of European affairs.
  • To encourage the active participation of young people in civic and political processes at European level.

RLIVE TV launches an innovative Internship program. Find out how to apply!

RLIVE TV, part of the REALITATEA Media Group, launches an innovative internship program: “Urban Subculture”. We are looking for five people who are passionate about TV journalism, resourceful and able to approach relevant societal issues with a critical and creative eye. We will focus on exploring urban subculture, a vibrant niche full of untold stories that reflect the pulse of the city.

Throughout the programme, the team will be guided by professionals through all stages of creating a media product: from conceptualisation, format design, concept development, to technical proofing, production and finally broadcast.

At the end, the most persistent of the participants will have the chance to join the RLIVE TV team as a journalist.

Register for the “Introduction to Elections/Electoral Systems” session of the “Electoral Education Starts with Youth” Programme

The Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre enthusiastically announces the launch of the first session of the programme “Electoral education starts with YOUTH”. The session entitled “Introduction to elections/electoral systems” will take place on June 5, 2024, at 17:00, at the Center’s headquarters on 90 Mitropolit Varlaam Street.

This programme is designed to raise awareness and involvement of young people in electoral and decision-making processes. Through educational sessions, participants will learn about the importance of voting, the different electoral systems and how they work.

What young people will learn in the session:

  • History of Elections: Young people will explore the evolution of the electoral process over time and its importance in modern society.
  • Types of electoral systems: Participants will learn about the different types of electoral systems, including majoritarian, proportional and mixed systems.
  • Electoral processes: Young people will understand the steps involved in organising and conducting elections, from voter registration to vote counting.
  • Role of electoral institutions: The session will cover the role and responsibilities of the institutions that organise and supervise elections.
  • Importance of participation: The importance of active participation in voting and how each vote helps shape government and public policy will be discussed.
  • Challenges and solutions: Young people will explore common challenges faced in electoral processes and possible solutions to ensure fair and transparent elections.

Through the development of this programme, we aim to raise awareness of the decision-making process and encourage young people to become active and responsible citizens.
