General meeting of volunteers from Youth Centres in Chisinau!

During the meeting, the volunteers set clear goals for the next period, focusing on personal development, active involvement in projects, as well as promoting volunteering and opportunities at Youth Centres among young people in the capital.

A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Volunteer Empowerment Programme to be implemented in the coming period. This programme aims to develop the skills and abilities of young volunteers, offering them opportunities for training and personal development through workshops, training sessions and practical activities. The programme is designed to support young people in acquiring new knowledge and experiences that will help them in their careers and personal lives.

In addition, volunteers participated in various teambuilding activities designed to strengthen team cohesion and reinforce relationships between members.

The General Volunteer Meeting was an opportunity to exchange ideas, inspiration and strategic planning, reflecting the commitment of young people to actively contribute to the development of the Chisinau community.

The Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre is pleased to announce the VR Day event, scheduled for June 12 and 14. This event is dedicated to young people and offers them the opportunity to explore the exciting world of virtual reality through a variety of interactive and sports games.

The main aim of the action was to familiarise young people with the services and programmes offered by the Youth Centres, highlighting the non-formal education, volunteering and active recreation opportunities available to them. At the same time, information is provided about upcoming events organised by the Youth Centres, as well as ways to get involved in the community.

Every day from Tuesday to Saturday, young people will meet at the Youth Centres in Chisinau to participate in a variety of activities as part of the “Summer at the Centre” programme.

The main aim of this initiative is to provide young people with a friendly and stimulating environment where they can spend their free time in a constructive and enjoyable way. Every week you can find a wide range of activities to participate in, absolutely free of charge!

Debate club in Russian at Botanica Youth Centre!

The Parents and Children Debate Club is for those who want to learn how to argue their opinion, identify their opponent’s strengths and weaknesses, understand and anticipate their opponent’s arguments and speak in front of an audience. The club’s moderator is journalist and TV presenter Elena Pahomova.

The June meetings will be held as follows:

  • 11 June, 17:00: Theory: arguments and facts;
  • 13 June, 17:00: Battle “Higher education: pros and cons”;
  • 25 June, 17:00: Theory: public discourse;
  • 27 June, 17:00: “Exam or tests” battle.

Job requirements:

  1. To know the peculiarities of psycho-social and physiological development for different developmental stages of adolescents and young people;
  2. know the rights of young people and their needs;
  3. possess techniques for observing young people in their environment, in their relationships and in their everyday actions;
  4. to know how to apply educational methods that promote personal development, communication, mobility, self-control, life skills and the social integration of young people;
  5. planning, teamwork, cooperation and communication skills;
  6. adaptability and flexibility in carrying out tasks;
  7. other requirements stipulated in the job description.

 

Conditions of participation:

  • Hold citizenship of the Republic of Moldova;
  • has a university degree / or post-secondary technical / post-secondary non-tertiary technical education, preferably in the field of socio-human sciences;
  • has at least 1 year of experience working with young people;
  • is under 35 years of age at the closing date for applications;
  • has knowledge of Romanian;
  • is medically fit (certified by the family doctor) to carry out the post;
  • has no criminal record (criminal record certificate);
    has not been dismissed in the last 3 years pursuant to Article 86 (1) (l), (m) and (n) of the Labour Code (confirmed by affidavit, as per Annex No. 8 to the Regulation).

 

Duties and powers of the lead specialist:

  1. draws up draft orders on the implementation of programmes and activities for young people;
  2. organises and implements programmes and activities for young people in accordance with the approved plan;
  3. participates in courses and capacity-building sessions in youth work;
  4. carries out tasks delegated by the Head of Section;
  5. draws up the individual activity plan;
  6. submits activity reports.

 

On the day of the interview candidates submit personal documents to verify the veracity of the data indicated in the application form:

a) copy of identity card;

b) a copy of their employment record book and other documents proving their seniority and voluntary work;

c) copies of documents justifying studies, further training and internships;

d) letter of motivation;

e) letter of recommendation.

An interactive debate took place at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre!

The debate “Freedom of expression means you can say what you want” took place at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre!

This event is part of the project “Empowering Youth for a Stronger European Democracy”, which aims to deepen young people’s knowledge about the political landscape of the European Union.

The debate was an excellent opportunity for the young participants to develop their argumentation and debating skills, to facilitate the exchange of ideas and perspectives from different backgrounds and to raise awareness of the importance of balancing freedom of expression with respect for the rights of others.

The event was free to attend and the atmosphere was dynamic and constructive, encouraging open and respectful dialogue between all participants. They had the opportunity to discuss the political landscape of the European Union and learn more about the rights and responsibilities that come with freedom of expression.

The Series of Personal Development Sessions for Youth with Mihaela Strâmbeanu Has Concluded. See in the Article What the Young People Learned.

The Buiucani Youth Center marks the end of a three-month period of exploration and learning the art of oratory, facilitated by Mihaela Strâmbeanu, as part of the Municipal Youth Personal Development Program.

During the personal development sessions, young people learned:

  • Diction techniques;
  • How to overcome the barrier of public speaking;
  • Emotion control tactics;
  • Expression models;
  • Exercises for diaphragm development and vocal resilience.

Various methods were used during the sessions, including the integration of rap music, poetry, and theater pieces.

Additionally, the young people acquired voice control techniques, managing to capture the audience’s attention more effectively. This experience gave them a deeper understanding of the importance of verbal communication, diction, and how they can utilize these skills in various aspects of their lives, contributing to personal and professional success, self-image formation, and confidence building.

The Buiucani Youth Center offers many other training sessions that you can also participate in!

Taboo-Free Discussions at the Rîșcani Youth Center!

A new captivating session took place at the Rîșcani Youth Center as part of the “Taboo-Free Discussions” program, attracting young people eager for self-discovery and personal development. The theme of this session was “Self-Knowledge and Personal Development,” a topic of great importance for young people who want to discover themselves and develop harmoniously.

The session was full of revealing moments and constructive exchanges of ideas, providing participants with valuable tools to better understand their own emotions, aspirations, and potential. The atmosphere was open and friendly, encouraging sincere and deep discussions. The facilitators guided the participants through a series of practical exercises and interactive discussions designed to stimulate personal reflection and promote continuous development.
