Parma and Chisinau: Finalist cities for the title of European youth capital 2027: Study visit!

The team from the Chișinău Municipal Youth Center conducted a study visit to the city of Parma in Italy. During this trip, they had the opportunity to share best practices in the youth sector from both Chișinău and Parma. Given that both cities are candidates for the title of European Youth Capital 2027, this visit was crucial for strengthening relationships and discovering new ways to support young people in both cities.

Simultaneously, we shared our experiences in organizing events and community activities, our personal and professional development projects for young people, financial support programs for youth, the involvement of volunteers, and the approval of the youth development strategy in the capital.

This visit confirmed that together we can build a strong network of Youth Centers that will support and inspire young people. We are excited about future joint projects and the positive impact we will bring to our communities.

From equal to equal! Open Doors Day in auxiliary school no. 6

On June 18, the Association of Intellectual Games of RM organized the Open Doors Day dedicated to the integration and support of children with special educational needs. This time, together with volunteers, the association team visited the day camp in the auxiliary school No. 6.

The participants of the camp were included in the activity together with colleagues from other educational institutions of the capital: the educational complex – kindergarten “Kiril and Methodius”, the Theoretical High School “Alecu Russo”, Theoretical High School “Academician Constantin Sibirschi”, Theoretical High School “Nikolai Gogol”, Theoretical High School “Alexander Pushkin”, Theoretical High School “Universe”. The organizers spent a productive and exciting day with the children.

The event was attended by Andrei Pavaloi, Deputy Head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport of Chisinau, who stressed that the Chisinau City Hall is actively working in the field of comprehensive development of children and youth.

The main part of the event was a quest in which children with special needs and their typical peers overcame obstacles, solved fascinating tasks and learned to work as a team, think critically and logically.

At the end of the event, all participants held a small dance battle, which became a symbol of unity and support.

Such inclusive-educational practices help to raise society’s awareness of the needs of children with special educational needs and improve public opinion. It is an important step on the road to creating an inclusive society where every child feels accepted and valued.

The project is financially supported under the Municipal Grant Programme for Youth Organisations in the municipality of Chisinau. Chisinau, launched by the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport of the municipality of Chisinau and the Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre under the aegis of the Chisinau City Hall.
