The protagonists of the event:

  • Natan Garștea – author of Moldova’s first and longest-running podcast “History of Moldova”;
  • Victoria Coroban – journalist and winner of the title “Best Podcast of the Year 2023” for Free Europe’s “Social Laboratory”.

#FreeFilter – Day of activities for young people 18+ at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center

On Saturday, September 28, the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center becomes the meeting place for young people over 18, who are invited to participate in a day full of fun and interactive activities. The #FreeFilter event promises a relaxed atmosphere and activities that provide opportunities for socializing and good times.

What activities are planned?

  • Tinder at the Center – Starting at 16:00, young people will be able to participate in a unique activity where they will have the opportunity to meet new people in a relaxed and fun way. This interactive session promises to be a memorable experience for all participants.
  • The 18+ No Taboo Game – At 17:00, the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center opens its doors for a special session of the No Taboo Game, dedicated to young people 18+. It is an interactive game that allows free and uninhibited expression, giving young people a platform for fun and open communication.

In addition to these main activities, throughout the day, participants will be able to take part in various leisure activities designed to provide relaxation and create an atmosphere full of positive energy.

Open registration for Social Drama Club: Opportunity for young drama enthusiasts

Young people who want to explore theater and develop their expressive skills now have the opportunity to join the Social Theater Club. Club meetings will start on October 2 at 16:00, offering participants a creative space where drama is used as a tool for social change.

The Social Theatre Club is an initiative aimed at helping young people with a passion for theatre to deepen their acting and improvisation techniques, as well as to collaborate with other members of the community who share the same interests. During the meetings, participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities designed to improve acting skills as well as develop a better understanding of how theater can address current social issues.

Final project and participation in the Social Theatre Festival

A highlight of this program is the preparation of an original play, which will be presented at the Social Theatre Festival, scheduled for December. This is a unique opportunity for young actors to present their ideas and creations to a wide audience, demonstrating how theater can bring social issues and creative solutions to the forefront.

The Chisinau Municipal Youth Centre recently organized an important meeting with representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to discuss ideas and proposals related to Chisinau’s bid for the title of “European Youth Capital 2027”. This event was dedicated to the direct involvement of young people and youth organizations in the process of developing an innovative and representative plan for the young generation.

During the consultations, initiatives to support the development of a program that reflects the needs and aspirations of young people in Chisinau were discussed. Participants proposed valuable ideas for the diversification of cultural, educational and social activities, emphasizing collaboration between the youth sector and NGOs.

Chisinau Municipal Youth Center signed two strategic cooperation agreements

The Chisinau Municipal Youth Center recently concluded two important partnerships aimed at providing new development opportunities for young people in the capital. These agreements aim both to improve legal literacy and to facilitate access to relevant youth programs and projects.
