Chisinau Municipal Youth Center announces the launch of the competition for the position of Head of the Volunteering and Youth Information Section!

Function requirements:

  1. to know the specifics of psycho-social and physiological development for different developmental stages of adolescents and young people;
  2. be familiar with the rights and needs of young people;
  3. possess techniques for observing young people in their living environment, in their everyday relationships and actions;
  4. know how to apply educational methods which encourage personal development, communication, mobility, self-control, life skills and the ability to integrate young people into society;
  5. planning, teamwork, cooperation and communication skills;
  6. adaptability and flexibility in the performance of duties;
  7. other requirements stipulated in the job description.

Conditions for participation:

  • holds citizenship of the Republic of Moldova;
  • has a university degree
    at least 1 year experience in youth work;
  • under 35 years of age on the closing date for applications;
  • has knowledge of Romanian;
  • is medically fit (certified by a family doctor) for the performance of his/her duties;
  • has no criminal record (criminal record certificate);
  • has not been dismissed in the last 3 years pursuant to Article 86 (1) (l), (m) and (n) of the Labor Code (confirmed by sworn statement)

Duties and powers of the Head of Section:

  1. ensures and organizes the work of the Section;
  2. draws up the Section’s activity plan and is responsible for its implementation
  3. approves the work plans of the principal specialists employed in the Section;
  4. collaborates with the Lead Specialists of the Youth Centers of the Sectors on the qualitative implementation of youth programs and activities;
  5. develops the job descriptions of the staff employed in the Section;
  6. manages the documentation of the Section;
  7. reports on the work of the Section;

Submission of documents:

The application form (according to Annex no.1 to the Instruction), copy of the identity card and the declaration confirming that he/she is aware of the legal conditions and criteria for organizing the interview, shall be submitted to the address: str. The #media10tion network: young people promote critical thinking and fight misinformation

The #media10tion network of media literacy promoters was strengthened through a follow-up session organized by the Media Centre for Youth. The event brought the network promoters together, giving them the opportunity to share experiences, stories from the field and ideas for future projects.

During the session, participants reflected on the importance of media literacy and discussed solutions to combat misinformation and develop critical thinking among young people. The conclusion of the event was clear: young people, when equipped with knowledge and courage, can positively influence their communities.

The #media10tion network is a program developed by the Media Center for Youth as part of the project “Enhancing Information Resilience and Promoting Pro-active Engagement among Young People in the Republic of Moldova.” The project is supported by the National Agency for Youth through the annual Grant Program for Youth Organizations 2024.

Project objectives include:

  • Increasing young people’s resilience against misinformation;
  • Promoting media literacy and critical thinking;
  • Encouraging civic engagement in communities.

The Media Center for Youth continues to support young people in their efforts to build an informed generation able to think freely and contribute to a society based on accurate and transparent information.

Public call: members are needed for the jury of the 2nd edition of the Municipal Volunteer Festival

Chisinau Municipal Youth Center invites civil society organizations from Chisinau municipality to nominate representatives to be part of the jury of the Municipal Volunteers Festival, 2nd edition. This event aims to recognize the merits of volunteers, and the involvement of civil society will ensure a fair and transparent judging process.

Selection criteria for representatives:

  1. Relevant experience:
    • Minimum four years of activity in the field of volunteering;
    • Implementation of at least ten projects in Chisinau municipality.

2. Letter of Intent:

    • Interested organizations must submit a letter of intent for the delegation of a representative to the jury. The document should be sent to the e-mail address fmv.chisinau@gmail.com, with the subject “Member of the Jury”.

Development Training Institute “MilleniuM” invites young people and professionals to the Non-formal Conference 2024! Read details in the article!

The Institute for Development Training “MilleniuM” and the Info Centre in Moldova for Erasmus+Youth & European Solidarity Corps are organizing on 18 December 2024 the Non-formal Conference, an event dedicated to young people, youth workers, teachers and trainers from all over the country.

Entitled “Building the European Future by empowering young people and youth workers”, the conference aims to explore the opportunities offered by Moldova’s European journey, promoting non-formal education and continuous professional development.

The “MilleniuM” Institute will present programs such as Erasmus+ Youth, European Solidarity Corps, Europe Goes Local and European Youth Foundation, highlighting their impact on local communities. The results of EU4Youth and Erasmus+ KA2 projects will also be discussed, as well as solutions for strengthening the youth worker community in the Republic of Moldova.

The event includes sessions on long-term training courses, human rights education training and initiatives such as the Democracy Debate Hub. It will also discuss ways of involving municipalities in European projects, contributing to local and professional development.

The conference will take place at the Bernardazzi Grand Hotel in Chisinau. The organizers encourage the participation of interested people. Chisinau Municipal Youth Center Cooking Club opens registration for a new series of workshops

Chisinau Municipal Youth Center announces the opening of registration for a new group of young people passionate about the culinary arts in the Cooking Club. The new series of workshops will start on December 5, 2024, at 17:00 and will be coordinated by Mrs. Coralia Babcenco, a gastronomy expert.

  • Meeting frequency: weekly, every Friday at 17:00.
  • Location: Chisinau Municipal Youth Center.
  • Participation: Free, for young people aged between 14 and 35.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn the secrets of the culinary art, discover new recipes and develop their cooking skills in a friendly and creative environment. The club is also a socializing space, ideal for meeting other young people with similar interests.
